The homepage happened back in the year 1999 when I first learnt to make a website. It was established following my creation of my very first ever website, 'The Aishwarya Rai Mansion'. I had long to have a place for myself on the web. I regret to say I can't exactly remember what the contents of the first version were. Although I'll always cherish the layout. Till date I still love the look; baby-bluish look with a nice soft looking splash page. Unfortunately for me, I did not keep or even own a screenshot of the first and second versions. It had won a bunch of website awards. Sad that I've not even kept a single one of them.

At that point of time, I'd simply named the site 'Isnani Isnen's Homepage', and then renamed it to 'Isnani Isnen Corner' on the third version. Both the first three versions were hosted on two free webhosts - Xoom.Com and Brinkster.Com. I'll always be thankful to these hosts since I'd been using them for all my earlier websites (which are now closed).

And then I started to earn my own real money when I started interning during my Diploma year in 2004. That was when I took up to the pent-up yearning on acquiring my own domain for my personal site. I have to point out though that Crystalled-Roses.Net is the second only domain name I'd registered. The first being Aishwarya-Rai.Net; with funds contributions from my dearest Mum and beloved visitors.

Initially, the site consisted of only my blog and collection of self-created LJ icons, and the rest of the normal site stuff. Time by time, I started to create sub-sites like the 'Fanfictions' and 'Fanlisting Collective' sections; that is excluding the numerous fanlistings/hatelistings I'd done. the name

Yes, I know that there is no such term in the dictionary as 'crystalled', but I rather like the sound of it... hence 'Crystalled Roses'.

For some reason, the words 'Crystalled' and 'Roses' just dawned to me when I first thought of getting a domain. Seriously, there's no apparent reason why and how I named it like that. Of course I'll always be thankful to my involuntary spark of creative words... *chuckles* Seriously, this happened to a few of my other websites' titles. They just flashed in my mind either whilst designing the site or when I'm sitting idle somewhere.

I love my domain name, really. And I don't intend on changing it as long as the site runs. I've been living with it for years now, and I seriously don't see why some webmasters love to change and move their sites to different domains again and again. Personally, I feel a domain is a website's identity and it should stay with a site forever.
