A loud thump escalated
as a can of Coke tumbled down the vending machine
pocket. Thinking that he needed a good break, Rupert
decided to lounge down at the small living room nearby.
Upon reaching the door-less room,
he realised that there was already someone else in
it. It was Emma's personal assistant, Melanie.
"Oh hi, Rupert. What's up?"
asked the woman, looking up from her table.
"Nothing. Just thought of
you know... sitting around."
With that, he took a seat at one
of the couches available and instantly snapped open
his drink can. A few more minutes of silence occurred
as Melanie did her own work with Rupert looking out
at the window, quietly sipping his beverage.
Just as he was about to fetch
a nearby magazine, Emma Watson, his co-star entered
looking very tired, and yet fresh from shower. Noticing
Rupert, she sent a quick smile at him in which he
returned.
"Oh here, Emma. The pads
you told me to buy," said Melanie, handing a
fat bulk with a big brand title 'Whisper' on the cover.
Emma's eyes widened at the very
spot looking extremely affronted. At the same time,
she could hear a loud choke from the other corner
of the room. Quickly sneaking a glance at the only
bloke in the room, she noticed Rupert too had his
eyes wide opened, his ears reddening quickly as he
wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.
"Oh! Um.. O-Okay. Thanks,
Mel," she stuttered, totally embarrassed and
at the same time resentful at her 25 year old oblivious
assistant. She quickly stuffed the embarrassing item
into her backpack and sat at the empty armchair behind
her.
She peaked another look at Rupert
only to find his eyes. His nostrils seemed to be flexing
every now and then as they always do when he's trying
to strain himself rom grinning. "Shut up, Rupert,"
she muttered.
Rupert heard her, and he couldn't
help but let out a soft snicker.
"I said, quiet down, Rupert."
"What?" chortled Rupert.
"I didn't say anything."
Emma felt herself blushed even
more. Melanie looked up once again from her work and
looked at both the teenagers, confused on what was
going on. But seeing the blushes on both the actors
and then getting a death glare from her client, she
got to put two to two together and let out a loud
chuckle.
"Shut up, Mel!"
That only evoked more laughter
from her assistant and co-star.
"Oh, honestly! Can't a girl
have her period happily?!" With that she stomped
out of the room, leaving her two acquaintances in
a cruel laughing fit.
