A/N:
This is actually an outtake of those 2004 YM photoshoot
of the trio. Of course I meddled around with the situation
for this fic. Hehe!
The studio spotlights blared on, brightening the sets
of the photoshoot. Less than 4 crew members were doing
their task as some of them gave another round of touch-ups
to the three young celebrities.
"Okay now, Dan, I need you
to sit here, Rupert and Emma, both of you, lay down
together on this pillow, facing the camera,"
ordered Jonathan Skow, the photographer.
As the three actors went to the
ordered positions, the photographer then went back
to his camera to test his angles. And soon, multiple
snaps were taken, each time with the teenagers giving
different expressions.
Emma rubbed her eyes after a short
break. Those power shot professional cameras can sure
easily blind people. She wondered how those hotshot
supermodels could stand all these photo taking when
a snigger made her turn around.
"Still can't make those white
spots go away?" asked Rupert Grint who was clad
in a red jacket.
She snorted in response. "Yeah."
"Okay, Dan. I need you to
go change for your solo shoot later," Jonathan
ordered again as he stretched his body. "And
while you're at it, you two," he pointed at Rupert
and Emma. "I want some couple shots from the
both of you."
Daniel Radcliffe chortled quietly
at himself as the photographer winked at his two friends
who were beginning to look uncomfortable. Straightening
up, he clapped Rupert on his hard back and gave him
a discrete thumbs up as he moved away.
"Okay now, guys, now that
the bloke's gone, let's get down to business, shall
we?" said Jonathan, rubbing his hands in an eagerly
manner.
Emma gulped and glanced at Rupert,
who seemed to be avoiding her eyes. Both of them were
never comfortable doing duet photoshoot with each
other. She remembered the time when the both of them
had to pose together for the LA Times. Oh! How awkward
that was. She was just thankful that the photographer,
Max, did not ask them for some coupling poses. But
she was not sure if luck was with her this time. Jonathan
seemed very passionate about his poses.
Sensing the awkwardness between
the two teenagers, Jonathan gave them a warm smile
saying, "Relax, guys. I'm not trying to make
you guys make out in front of me or anything. Just
some few hugs and somewhat. Should be alright, eh?"
Rupert gave an apprehensive grin
whilst rubbing his neck.
"Okay! So now, what I'm going
to do is to have you, Rupert," he pointed, "to
sit at this very corner of the sofa, and I want you,
Emma, to sit next to him with your feet on the other
end on the arm of the sofa."
Having understood what exactly
the photographer had in mind, they hesitantly went
into positions. But as Emma pulled her legs up to
rest them on the sofa, her shoulder accidentally brushed
Rupert's who involuntary let out a sharp gasp.
"Sorry."
It was then that Emma realised
she was shaking a bit. She watched as Jonathan hand
signalled Rupert to put his left arm around her. At
that instant, blood rushed to her face and she could
feel them reddened. But looking at Rupert, she was
glad the feeling was mutual. She decided to give him
a weak encouraging smile, making him finally placed
his arm around her.
Jonathan sighed and strode back
in front of them. "Just relax, alright. And you
know what? I guess it would look much better if you
bend one leg up a bit," he tapped Emma's left
knee. "And I need you to rest your head gently
on Rupert's shoulder... Yeah! Just like that. Okay,
now just smile naturally at the camera."
As the energetic photographer
walked back to his camera, Emma felt Rupert poised
his head slightly onto hers, making her heart flutter
inside.
Again, numerous snaps were taken,
each time the actors gave different expressions; mostly
laughing since Jonathan cracked a joke at every instant
to make their laugh looked as natural as possible.
By the time they had to give another different pose,
Rupert and Emma were cackling heartily. All awkwardness
seemed to fade away, which obviously cheered Jonathan.
This time round, Rupert was told
to sit on the ground, resting his back on the sofa
while Emma had to sit directly behind him on the sofa
so that she can bend and hug him from behind.
It was after another three or
four different poses did Jonathan requested them for
their final pose, making the awkwardness came bulldozing
back to the both teenagers.
Rubbing his neck again, Rupert
shrugged and said to Emma, "C'mon, Em. We're
actors. These things shouldn't be difficult, would
it? It's just a peck on the cheek."
Seeing that he said all these
with his eyes looking at his feet, Emma giggled nervously
at him, "Oh, alright."
"Great!" Jonathan exclaimed,
clapping his hands together. "So Rupert, what
are you waiting for? Go on and embrace the girl. And
when I say 'kiss', you kiss Emma on the cheek and
don't let go until after the snap is taken.
Understand?"
"Alright," Rupert sniggered.
They didn't know but Rupert was feeling extremely
nervous inside. Why shouldn't he? This will be the
first time his lips will rest upon those soft skin
he has been longing to touch.
After a couple of awkward snaps,
a loud cat whistle was heard. It was Daniel, who they
realised had been sitting there in his new attire,
watching them in interest.
"Bravo, guys. You actually
made it!" he clapped, laughing sarcastically
at the same time. But his words were cut short when
Rupert came and punched him on his stomach lightly.
"Oww!! It's not my fault
Ron and Hermione were meant to be together, you know!
You guys obviously need to do those couple shots because
of them anyway," defended Dan at a grinning Rupert
who was opening his bag.
"Shut up, Dan. You'll wait.
Your time will come when you have to do the same thing
with Bonnie," joined Emma who was fetching a
mineral water bottle. She had frequently shared her
views upon the couples of the Harry Potter series.
And Ginny was apparently who she believed will end
up with Harry.
Rupert went to the changing room,
but not before informing Dan that both Emma and he
will wait for him at the cafe down at the first floor
of the building.
"Yeah, yeah... go on and
have your date without me," Dan had joked.
But as both Emma and Rupert headed
down to the cafe, Rupert realised it did seemed like
a date.
"So Emma, what do you want
to eat?" |
