Wow! It's the last day of the year. For some reason, I still want to hold on to 2010. The year 2011 seems like such a dreadful breadth of view. I'm not only including the end of the Harry Potter movies here, but... there're so many expectations being put upon me this coming year. I feel like finding Neverland and join hands with Peter Pan. *chuckles* What was his given directions again -- "Second star to the right, and straight on till morning."

So well, let me give you all a toast to a new beginning, to a very Happy New Year! Like usual, I never have any set goals. Nope. No resolutions whatsoever. I like to believe I'm a pretty practical person. I'd rather live with the flow of what life brings me and deal with challenges as they come and go. I see no point planning on things when fate doesn't ever give you a choice.

Moving straight to something Harry Potter, some of you might have seen my recent tweet last Tuesday about a supposed leak of the much awaited Ron/Hermione kiss. And... hold your horses, you guys. None of us have seen it. Whoever started that rumour must have misquoted or something. *shrugs* Whether it was intentionally to make a total rat's ness out of it or not, none of us are sure of. But as much as I'm DYING to see the kiss, I thank Warner Brothers for keeping it in tight grabs. I'd rather watch the big kiss in July itself and die squealing in my theatre seat. We already know that Harry won't be in the scene to interrupt their kiss like in the book. We already know the kiss will be after Hermione killed the horcrux in the water from a Voldemort-shaped tsunami. But what we don't know yet is how passionate this kiss will be. So let's calm our nerves for now and wait till July, eh?

Seeing that we're still in the subject of the lovable pair, Ron and Hermione, I reblogged an audio post on Tumblr yesterday. It was from the Deathly Hallows video game, whereby you can hear Rupert Grint screaming out for Hermione from the Malfoy Manor's dungeon. Video Game trailer shot of Ron trying to grab back Hermione from the Death EatersSeriously, it's amazing how the video games are always much, much closer to the books than the movies. They include so many subplots that the movies don't. I don't know whether to appreciate the fact that I could actually finally hear Rupert bewailing helplessly or not. On one hand I feel like hitting Steve Cloves' head onto a brick wall again and again for omitting that in the movie script, and on the other... No, I have no other thoughts. I just need to wallop this bloke for not making Rupert cry in the Malfoy Manor scene. Then again, I've yet to finish my Deathly Hallows video game on PS3. I love playing it, but I guess being a girl... I'm not prone to headaches that only 3D video games can cause you. Perhaps I'll continue with the game this weekend holiday. I only just stopped at the part where the trio were fighting off the two Death Eaters at the muggle cafe.

Oh! Before I move on to something else, let me just share this Rupert/Emma fanvideo. I don't really fancy the song used for the video, but I thought the video made it look like they're in the same movie. Kudos to the vidder!

For the record, I have yet to watch Rupert Grint's 'Cherrybomb', nor do I want to. I don't care! Call me pathetic whatsoever, but I can never see him in bed with any other girl except for Emma. Seeing 'Driving Lessons' for me was already a huge torture. My heart went straight to my throat whenever I came upon that scene. So no! Sorry, Rupert. I love you, but watching you with that girl (or any other girl for that matter) is way too much for me.

By the way, I posted this on Tumblr too the other day. Haha! Like I stated there, I was too bored. My Mum brought over a box of Ferrero Rocher to the living room, and some scraps of aluminium foil was near my reach... So yeah. That's the result of my Harry Potter clotted mind -- 'A Golden Ferrero Snitch'! A moment after I took snaps of it, 'POP' it went inside my mother's mouth. Bleh! She never appreciates the underlying creativity of mine. *huffs*

It's Christmas Eve, you guys! So seeing how confident I am that I won't be blogging tomorrow, let me wish a Merry Christmas to all of you. Or in the regal language of Harry Potter, "Happy Christmas!" *chuckles* Also, heads up to my best buddy -- Happy 25th Birthday, Hema! Love you, girl!

Like I mentioned on my entry last week, I'd planned to make some Red Velvet cupcakes for this occasion to distribute to my colleagues as a Christmas token. I'm still learning with all these cupcakes business though; hence don't expect perfection.

Pretty flattered and thankful to all the positive feedback I received for them. I blogged about it on my Cupcakes Blog earlier. You can see more shots of the cupcakes there. But honestly if you asked me, fondant icing seriously exerts all your physical energy. I'm quite frankly extremely exhausted and am really grateful that I'll be having two full days of rest this weekend. It's been a hectic week.

By the way, I just watched Jack Black's 'Gulliver's Travels' in the theatre today. I've read some really bad reviews about the film, but I thought the movie was alright. It is quite hilarious, albeit it being those sorts of movies where you'll only watch once. I quite like the idea of Gulliver using the little people to act as his action figures. *laughs* I used to fantasize having that opportunity as a little girl with my dolls. Unfortunately, they're all inanimate.

At the same time, I watched Disney's 'Rapunzel' too earlier this week. My Mum actually enjoyed the animated movie more than me... I think. She has always been a sucker for animated fairy tales... be it Disney, Warner Brothers or even 3D Barbie movies. Personally, I too love the movie. Mandy Moore really did good with the girl's voice. Although I don't know if I'm the only one, but I kept finding the hero, Eugene looking very much like the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. I almost believed it was him who did the voiceover for the character. Eventually I found out it was another actor who did the honours -- Zachary Levi.

Well, for many, Disney will forever be magical. I love the movie and I love the feel and look of the movie. It's amazing that kids today enjoy 3D animated movies. I wonder if my favourites like 'The Little Mermaid' and 'Beauty and the Beast' will still have the magical touch if they were made in 3D.

I seriously need to finish reading all my Harry Potter books. Believe it or not, I've not touch those books for... I don't know. When was the last time I stopped paused reading it? I'm still at 'Goblet of Fire'. Damn! I need more time. I have to read all the books before July next year. That's my goal! And besides, a movie marathon is far convenient since I can at least multitask.

Bedok Point, the new shopping mall at my hometown has just opened last Thursday. So evidently, it'll be witnessing a whole load of crowd for these couple of days. Both my Mum and I just visited it earlier today.

Although there're still a lot of shops and restaurants down for construction still, there were unfortunately nothing much to look at. Can't say I'm disappointed because I had already expected that much. The mall is so small that you can't chuck many stores inside. I'm most disheartened by the fact that there is no Starbucks though. I had hoped there'll be one here at Bedok... Although they do have some of my favourite names -- Subway, Challenger, PastaMania and Old Chang Kee.

By the way, I just changed my iPhone's skin again. Hehe! I love these vinyl skins. Although the colours don't exactly last long as how they advertised them to be, I don't mind it at all. Because by the time it fades, it always calls out to me for a change.

Yes, I'm still using iPhone 3Gs. I've been asked why haven't I changed to the new iPhone 4. *shrugs* Aside from the fact that I'm still under my 2-year contract with my current mobile line, I still want to save for the upcoming iPhone 5. It's releasing July next year. Besides, I've always been with the odd numbers. Haha! I'm an odd girl. Everything good has been about odd numbers with me. So yeah, I'd rather wait for iPhone 5.

Bloody hell, guys! Have you seen that cute little picture of Emma hugging Rupert from behind at the Shell Cottage beach? The first time I saw it, I actually squealed out loud startling the taxi driver. *cackles* Goodness!

The full picture it seems had Daniel Radcliffe standing alone in front of the two. I wonder what was going on at that point of time. I remember one of the BTS videos showed Rupert and Emma running and playing catching with each other at the very same beach. From the looks of it, Emma is using Rupert to hide from Dan. Just look at his face! *giggles*

Anyway, what's this I hear about Rupert and Emma doing a photoshoot together (just the two of them) old Rupert/Emma 'LA Times' photoshootfor 'Deathly Hallows: Part 2'? BRING IT ON!! It's about bloody time the filmmakers do that. I think the last time we got an only Rupert/Emma photoshoot was that LA Times photos during 'Goblet of Fire' era... Merlin! How long ago was that? 2005? Seriously, seriously hoping it'd be some beautiful if not sensual sort of photoshoot. I want to see some 'touching'! You know, like "you touch me, I touch you" sorts? *guffaws* I'd be so unsatisfied if the two of them just plainly sit or stand around each other. That'd be boring. They're adults now, so... please! Touch each other!!

By the way, I got more baking supplies earlier this week. I want to practise with my fondant icing decorating. This time, I'm going to get messy and scratch up my own fondant rather than using the factory-made one. Most reviews said the marshmallow fondant icing tastes far more edible than the ones you get ready-made in stores.

So yeah, I'm planning to whip up some Red Velvet cupcakes for Christmas later next week. Let's see if my second attempt with fondant will be far better than my first try with those lavender blueberry ones I made a few months ago. I really want to practise with this version of icing. Sometimes I wish I don't have a full time job so I can spend more time with these. But hey! We all need to earn a living! So, slave away, Isnani... Slave away...

Last Saturday, I had accidentally overturned my Time Turner and got transported back into the dinosaurs' era! *gasps* ...Yeah, off with the dramatics -- I really did saw real-sized dinosaurs last Saturday. Only there were humans inside them; not as lunch but as their puppeteers.

It's a show called 'Walking with Dinosaurs', which was located at Singapore Indoor Stadium. It's quite a show really. But doesn't really meet my expectations. Then again, you can't really enjoy a show when you have kids wailing out of horror from those fake dinosaurs here and there. Seriously, I bloody hate kids! *huffs* Anyways, those of you who are under my Facebook friends list would have already seen the photos I posted. For those who haven't, click on the picture below to go to the photo album.

Well, straight after our 'prehistoric' show, we went for a 4th round watching 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' at the theatre. Sure I've been watching it almost every day now with the *ahem* I have, but even my 42 inch television failed to let me notice Draco Malfoy during Hermione's torture. It was only after I watched it for the 4th time on the big screen did I noticed that Hermione was facing the blond-haired boy whilst she was lying on the floor. Draco in turn looked rather perturbed whilst sitting at a desk in the far corner of the room. Of course the little Dramione shipper in me leaped for a bit at this realisation. How I wish the wand battle was with Ron and Draco instead of Ron and Narcissa.

Apparently it seems dates have been going around about the release of the Blu-Ray and DVD of Deathly Hallows: Part 1. The one I heard was in April next year, but it seems Warner Brothers has slammed that rumour. *shrugs* Frankly speaking, I still find it odd that we will be getting separate Part 1 and Part 2 DVDs of the movie. It's like Warner Brothers tore half of the book and is giving us the first portion and then the other a whole year later. Goodness! I'm seriously still against the idea no matter how many fans have already accepted it. I could deal sitting for a 9-12 hour Harry Potter movie!

The fact that they're currently re-filming the epilogue scene gives me hope though. I guess the filmmakers took the fans' outrage at seeing the leaked photos of the actors' "middle-aged" make-up literally. Although nothing was said to confirm that they're changing the looks, many of us assume that the re-shooting is mainly due to the make-up. I mean c'mon! They look more like GrandPas and GrandMas rather than 30+ year olds. The make-up artists just need to make them look 10 years older.

By the way, it seems I won't be doing any Ron/Hermione calendar for next year. I kept telling myself to collect some good updated R/Hr photos from the past movies, but man! I seriously felt so lazy and indolent when I come to think of it. Oh well, I guess my office desk won't be having any comforting eye candy next year. Below is the current month-page I have at my office. *frowns*

And oh! Did any of you see the Viktor/Hermione extended dance video clip at the Weasley wedding? As much as I agree with the rest of the R/Hr shippers that it was supposed to be Ron who got to dance with Hermione in the book, I'd really wanted this Viktor/Hermione alternate twist in the movie. I love JealousRon. Besides I really pity the Stanislav bloke. They called him back but for what? To stand in for an almost a blink-you-miss extra in the movie whilst the scene that was shot of him got completely edited out!

Anyhow... it was Rajinikanth's 61st birthday yesterday. Bless the old chap. I even had a two movie marathon of his yesterday -- 'Enthiran' and 'Chaalbaaz'. Love both the movies so much. Besides, fans of his love to make jokes out of him. Not bad jokes that criticise him, but jokes just for the fun of it. Like the most recent one I retweeted.
From now on, every hour will have 61 minutes and every minute will have 61 seconds. Reason: because Rajinikanth is now 61!
He is always made out to be this superhero or someone who controls the universe in most of these jokes. Have to say most of them are rather hilarious and could make me laugh until my stomach hurts. It gets even funnier if you keep track of the actor's past movies because they almost always made him out to be this cute and funny extremist.

What do you know? Apparently some rumour is going around about a private moment between Ron and Hermione at Shell Cottage in the last Harry Potter instalment. Excerpt of the post as blockquoted below:
Okay so there is this one scene at Shell Cottage, Ron and Hermione are in one of the guest rooms and Ron's sitting on the side of the bed, while Hermione is laying propped up by a pillow. Ron asks her if her sleep was okay, and she says that she feels better. It's quiet for a moment and he looks at her arm and sees dried blood on her sweater and rolls it up to see the "mudblood" carved in her arm. He gets her bag and finds the Dittany and puts some on his thumb and softly starts rubbing it over her arm. (It was really cute) The mark is still a bit there and he looks at her questionly and she says that because it was done with dark magic it couldn't be completely healed and that it was done so she would always remember being tortured. Ron then softly tucks some of her hair behind her ear, that had fallen in her face, and puts Dittany on his thumb. Then he puts it to the cut on hermione's neck where the cut is and it heals. Then he whispers "all better" and moves his hand so it cups her face. He leaves it for like a second but then he pulls away because Harry comes in.
Like many fans retorted, it seemed rather fabricated and fake; like something taken out from a fluffy fanfiction. Me? Well, I have to agree with them lot. Then again, remember the days when Deathly Hallows' epilogue got leaked? All of us turned it down condemning it to be thoroughly cheesy for a JK Rowling's standard. Eventually that same 'cheesy' epilogue was what we read at the end of the book. *chuckles*

Well anyway, we see a video interview of Rupert in which tear-tracks were still visible. Some assumed this must be after Fred's death, whilst some who believed in the above rumour assumed Hermione's weak state must be the cause. Upon seeing that dirty red striped-shirt of his and the pictures that have been released so far, my personal guess will be Fred's death.

I for one can't wait to see that very scene in which Hermione comforts Ron on the ruined stairs of Hogwarts whilst he cries on her shoulder. Merlin! That will be the first time I guess we will finally see MovieRon cries, and I'm loving it! I already hate the fact that they omitted a wailing and crying Ron at the Malfoy Manor, so he better cry like a baby at some point... Heh!

And please, dear Merlin! Let the kiss be good. After seeing Harry and Hermione kissing in the first part, I don't know how else Emma and Rupert could better it. I remember Emma saying Rupert being surprised at how she literally glomps over him. Then again, wasn't that how it happened in the book? Haha! Oh well, here's hoping...

Anyhow, today was the first time I ever tried using the Sneakoscope I got during my visit to 'Wizarding World of Harry Potter' in Orlando last month. Not really sure if there is a technique in spinning it because it almost seem like a typical top. But it's cool, I guess. Haha!

My favourite is still my stuffed Pygmy Puff. I'm waiting for the upcoming Boxing Day and see if it turns alive and sing something. *snickers*

Yeah, I still do not have the heart to take off this tag. There's no other place in the world that carries this as your price tag. Haha! ...Man! I'm missing the bloody place already! Bring me back!!

I have just published a new mini-blog solely for my cupcakes earlier today. I've been working on it since last night. But like I tweeted earlier, I have given up trying to perfect the layout. There're still some bugs that I just do not know how to fix. I'm using WordPress and having trouble with how the 'Pages' sections get executed. The top and bottom border images of the post just refuse to show up. *whines* Oh well anyway, below is a screenshot of the blog; designed by Yours Truly (...that is myself, if you don't get it. :P).

click to visit

There had been many times I attempted using WordPress but never really got down to it. I still think it's not as customizable as ones I've previously used. Well the reason I decided to conjure up this mini blog (or sub-blog, as I like to call it) is because I wanted to put all my baking feats into one central place. Although I will be blogging about my occasional bakes on here too. What I'm trying to say is that, it'll be more 'detailed' there.

You may find that the blog already have archives as back as July 2010. Well, I cheated for a bit -- copied and paste whatever I blogged on here and amended the entry dates accordingly. Hee!

Well anyway, yes. As you can see on that new blog of mine, I baked more new cupcakes yesterday in fact -- 19 altogether. It's the first time I experimented with white icing and also making cupcakes with fillings inside. I filled half of the batch with blueberry jam and the other half with Nutella. And after eating one, I can honestly say I'll have no qualms in making more filled-cupcakes in the future. They're really tasty and easy.

I was actually aghast that the traditional way of doing it was to cut open the cake on the top with a knife and then cover the hole back once filled. But with the right nozzle and a piping bag, you don't need to go through that unneeded mess.
